I agree with Amadeus and Kenny!
A funny thing is that a very similar thread is going on on the
Continuum list (where one is supposed to discuss the psycho-social
sides of "paleo", especially parenting). So I am reposting to this
list, the same as I posted to that one ("CC" is the same as "Paleo"):

Isn't this thread way off topic?
Aspartame/nutrasweet and so on are very non CC. Eat fruit instead, or
honey if You have sugar cravings.
Swedish research has showed that people who drink "light" drinks (w o
sugar) instead eat more sugar from other sources, than those who
drink drinks with sugar in, so they actually consume *more* sugar instead
of less. The cravings only get worse with the sweet taste when there is
actually no sugar to find.
