Hi, Michael .... Is pemmican hard like jerky or soft like salmon?
I have never had any or even seen it. A pemmican virgin. I'd like
a copy of your recipe just in case I get the urge to make some.
A Spanish friend brought over 3 kinds of tamales tonight, still
warm from cooking! I have not been tempted by other Christmas
food gifts ... but ... the pork red chili tamales were too much! Not
too many places where I could 'catch' tamales w/a stick, whether
I was naked or not. If there were, I'd be committed to hunting them.
I am posting this to the entire list b/c I find it interesting that I am
not wanting the sweets [homemade candies, cookies, cheese
cakes or the eggnogs, fruitcake, rum] offered as holiday sharing;
but, the mesa [corn flour] wrapped tamales were a magnet for my
lips and tongue! I'd thought old season favorites of my life b4 paleo
would be my downfall at this time of the year. Hummmm? ]v[iT
