Hi Valerie and welcome to the list. I do not have interstitial cyctitis, but
found a chapter about it in the book, The Miracle of MSM, by Stanley W.
Jacob, MD, and Ronald M. Lawrence, MD, PhD. I bought this book because I
suffer from severe fibromyalgia which has been helped to some extent by
taking MSM and following a diet free of grains, sugars, most dairy and beans.
It takes a while to make the transition, but it is worth it. I found the book
on sale at health food store at the mall. The book is very well documented
and referenced, and discusses the usefulness of MSM in treating a variety of
serious pain conditions. I think, in general, eating a paleo diet seems to
help with any kind of inflamatory condition, which in turn helps control
pain. HTH.
BTW, my maiden name is Goldstein, but I am from Long Island, not Texas, LOL!
Best,
Madeline
