Hi-

Was at my local health-food grocery today and picked up the February
copy of "Great Life" freebie mag.  Contained an article on "Syndrome X"
(aka insulin resistance, etc.) by Jack Challem, Burton Berkson and
Melissa Diane Smith (preview to their new book on the subject).  Guess
what they recommended to combat this affliction?  That's right - "The
evidence strongly suggests that our genes function best on Paleolithic
foods - lots of vegetables and animal proteins - not on the types of
convenient, processed foods people eat today." (quoted from the article)

I also noticed that Dr. Atkins has 3 full pages of advertisements in
this issue, which is a typical amount in most issues I've seen in the
past.  Interesting...
