Hello. I'm quite new to this list. I'm 24 years old and it's only been 3
months since I've been on a gluten free diet and it's been 2 years since
I've been diary free on my own. I went to see a doctor concerning
symptoms I had been experiencing since last summer. Bloating, extreme
fatigue, headaches, upset stomach, slight diarrhea, and sometimes
abdominal pain. So after taking a blood test it showed reaction to all
gluten grains except oats and also tricalytite ( I don't think that is
the correct spelling). The doctor seemed like it wasn't that serious
and all I needed to do was stay away from just wheat. But of course on
my own time I learned that I should avoid other glutinous foods as well.
But over the past three months I've noticed an increase in time in
reaction to different foods. Enriched white floured foods I used to get
away with. Now if it's a trace amount, like a noodle, I experience some
of same symptoms, especially bloating within a few minutes. My question
is, should I be concerned? My understanding from the doctor is that I'm
intolerant, just like I am to diary. But my husband thinks I need to
get a second opinion. I really don't understand the difference between
gluten intolerance and CD. Can anyone refer me to a doctor in Tulsa,
OK? Thanks
Also, can someone send me some quick recipes for lunch/dinner meals. I
don't have time to bake bread or make pasta. Usually I by those at the
health food store. I was especially fond of Hamburger Helper and other
quick meals. Anyone have a modified recipe? Thanks, Takiyah
