Hi all,
[Note: To anyone who didn't get my first recipe for granola sent 7/7/00 and
would like it, let me know.]
Well, we made it again - this time with 2 bags of puffed millet and 2 bags
of puffed brown rice...I cut up whole dates with scissors (beware of
"chopped dates" as they can have OAT flour on them to keep them from
sticking together), rice bran (we mail order it - it's kinda like wheat
germ only you don't have to eat it close to the bathroom - LOL!), apple
juice concentrate thinned with a bit of hot water to melt it (in addition
to the other wet ingredients as in the other recipe), all four spices
(cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger), and no salt (it just didn't need
any!). Oh and I used rice bran oil for the oil portion of the wet
ingredients.
As usual, it is foolproof and delicious. (And WELCOME since we are out of
dry cereals - our Rice Nuts and Maple Buckwheat Flakes aren't in until coop
day on the 29th!)
Love, Linda
