Our celiac support group will be conducting an antibody screening in
conjunction with the University of Maryland study (www.celiaccenter.org) on
Sunday, March 12, 1-5 p.m. If you are interested in being tested, or
having members of your family tested, please let me know before 2/14/2000
at which time I will be ordering the kits. You are encouraged to have
asymptomatic as well as symptomatic first-degree relatives tested. There
will be no charge but donations will be accepted to contribute to the study
in which we are participating and we are asking that each person tested
bring a self-addressed, stamped envelope in which your test results will be
returned.

The screening will take place at Carle Clinic North, University Ave,
Urbana IL, room 301A-B. A videotape of talks given by the doctors involved
in the U MD celiac incidence study will be available for viewing.

We would like to offer samples of GF products and publications at the
screening. If any GF vendors are willing to provide samples and company
brochures, please contact me.

We hope that people in the area take advantage of this opportunity to
participate in this important study and identify family members with celiac
disease.

Sincerely, Kathy Harden
