I use Wingate v.2.1d with Zone Alarm 2.0 on a Windows NT 4.0 Server with
SP6.
I have had no problems whatsoever. From ZoneAlarm, I just had to allow
Wingate.exe to access the internet. At the ShieldsUp site, I was also able
to shut absolutely everything down except port 139. This was even before
using ZoneAlarm. I did it by disabling all of the outside bindings on the
NIC for the cable modem from within NT. Wingate is also set up to only allow
access from within the internal network. If you have any questions, let me
know.

I'm currently running Wingate on a home network with a cable modem.
I've done what I could that was suggested on ShieldsUp except for
installing a firewall. I've looked at documentation about ZoneAlarm and
it sounds like says it has problems with Internet sharing software.
Does anyone have any experience with using a firewall in this
environment?
