I have my first ULTRA 66 drive ....IBM 22GXP 13.5 GB.
I want to install this on a ABIT BX6 Revision 2 motherboard.
I will install it on the Secondary channel as a Master with a TEAC CDR as a
slave.
The primary channel has a ULTRA 33 SEAGATE as a master.
I am planning on flashing my ABIT BIOS to the newest version before I
install the drive.
I know that the motherboard does not support ULTRA 66 however the drive
should install and run as a ULTRA 33. BUT do I have to manually use IBMs
utility "IBMATA66
to disable ULTRA 66...or should I just be able to treat the drive like
any other drive ? ?
Has anybody actually done a ULTRA 66 on a ABIT BX6 Rev2 ?

thanks
m
