I must be doing something wrong.
Got a new MB (Amptron9900a/PCChips577),
and an AMD K6-2/400 CPU.
I would like to keep using Win95b.
I have fdisked, formatted, the whole nine yards.
After I get Win95b installed, is there a "special"
order I need to install the AMD patch, and the
motherboard driver patches? (It has a via AGP
chipset for IDE and video functions.) I am using
a PCI video card, so I have only been putting the
AGP "video patch" in sometimes.
I have tried starting totally from scratch numerous
times, but am going brain-dead and running in
circles. I "think" Win98 might solve this, but
hate to pay for "AGP" when I will NEVER need it.
Everything I am trying is "supposed to" work just the
way it is with what I have.
This is a 1)AGP, 3)PCI, 2)ISA board. (Nothing fancy.)
Thanks in advance. Rick Glazier
