The maximum length for Thinnet (RG58) coax is 185 meters (10base2 - the 2 is
200 meters that is 185 meters rounded up). 500 meters is the maximum
distance for Thick coax (RG8) that is referred to as 10base5 - not very
common in smaller networks.

You will be fine. However, I am assumming you are speaking about Coax
(because you mention BNC) not Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP). Coax has a
maximum usable length of 500 meters. Coax will be running at 10Mbps Half
