Hi,
I would definitely rule a bad monitor since you've tried it on two
different computers. Was this a refurb or repair ? 30 days is awfully
short. Even our basic monitor repairs carried a 90 day to 1 year
warranty.

 The only other simple answer would be a bad video cord which can be
checked for continuity with a meter.Or after hooking the monitor back
up you can try gently wiggling the video cord to check for subtle
connection problems.
