There are a number of utilities that will test this for you. If you have
any version of Norton Utilities there is a DOS program called NDIAGS that
will do it. A freeware program called DIAG will give you some reports
http://nospin.com/rode/rode109.html but to really test them you will need a
loop back plug. This will depend on what level of diagnostics you wish to
perform.
