I would suggest not using a refill kit at all. I've heard nothing but
complaints when doing so. Another reason it may have happened, is that you
left the empty cartridge in for over a month, which may have dried up the
holes, and no amount of cleaning may help. In the instructions of the
refill kit, most say to not let the cartridge go completely empty before
refilling. If you insist on using a refill kit, I would suggest getting an
Epson color cartridge to replace the defunct one, using it until it's 3/4's
empty then refilling.
