Today's the last day of the carneval.
The word means carne (meat) vale (goodbye). Goodbye meat.

Because now's the time for the traditional spring chamfered.
I got to know, that before the year 1460, when a pope started to allow
butter beeing used in bavaria animals and even butter was forbidden.

That means , before that not one animal product was allowed -
even not butter.

I think it's a nice idea to have a rest for the body.
Not a bad idea for a change in fats and for protein combinations.

Btw, probably that chamfered period was not a christian invention,
but from older times. Spring had no fruit available.

I'll start such a period now.....
