Rice Dream ice cream...Where do you all find it?
Help!! Stefanie
Dear Stefanie,
Ever see FIELD OR DREAMS? (If you build it, they will come!)
If you ask for it, they will stoick it. Visit your supermarket.
Speak to the manager. Get your friends to do the same. Create
the demand and they will stock it.
Now, here is a recipe for your own! This is an incredible taste treat.
INGREDIENTS
1 Cocoanut
2 cups of white rice
10 cups of water
Sweetener to taste (anything but aspartame/nutrasweet!)
1. Boil the rice for 15 minutes and strain, reserving the liquid.
Eat the rice for dinner. You will be left with one quart of
liquid. Add sweetener to taste.
Refrigerate this...wonderful rice milk!
2. Grate the cocanut and strain through a filter.
Add water to make a quart. This will be rich
creamy cocoanut milk.
3. Combine the two liquids and pour into ice cube trays.
4. When they are frozen you can eat the ice cubes as they are...
consistency of ice cream...or...depending upon the state of
your blender/processor or vitamix...use these cubes to make
ice cream or as a base for smoothies. Add a banana or a banana
and juice. Experiment.
