Yeah, I don't get it.  When we "do it ourselves", society champions us (the
disabled), but when we ask for a hand up, suddenly we become a burden.  What
a guilt trip to lay on someone.

help to stand up because my legs were spasming and I couldn't get 'em to

        If you think about it, we would come to no one's attention as
"disabled"
if we weren't a pain in the ass to someone. Show me a person with CP living
in the boonies and not bothering anyone and I show a non-disabled
individual from society's viewpoint.
