Richard Yarl,
President of the African Association
Madison,Wisconsin

You will have noticed the cyber war that engulfed this net as a result of a
posting by Aggo Akyea recently. There were insults and counter insults from
subscribers as a result of that posting. There were threats of and requests
for disconnections by some subscribers. Some disconnections have actually
been carried out. Through the postings, some issues pertaining to the
ownership of the net became murky. Therefore, I am forced to ask you the
following questions as the President of the African Association:

1) who is the owner of this AAM internet service?
2) If it is owned by the African Association, who appoints the postmaster of
the net and what is the duration of the term in office?
3) If it is owned by the African Association, who pays the bill or the
service free?

Recents events and postings on this net has been very disappointing and
provocative to many people. Your answers will help many of us assess our
relationship to the internet service. But most importantly, it will help
to pin point who is liable for such posting apart from the individual who
actually sends in such posting.
I am sorry I have to send you a public mail. It is so because the issue is
not private. There are over a hundred people subscribed to this list.

Greetings

Ademola Iyi-Eweka
A BONA FIDE MEMBER
OF THE AFRICAN ASSOCIATION, MADISON
