I need some advice.

I do some work with Adobe Premiere, a Digital 8 Camcorder, a firewire card
and computer and would like to upgrade my pc. The work is done in DV format
(720X640 30fps). This is not for professional works but almost. Does someone
know some sites that publish benchmark about video editing workstation?

Another question that I try to answer is: would it be better to use pentium
III or Athlon that care a new set of SSE Instructions or just take the
faster processor I can get?

I Would also be interrested to know if some cheap addon card can help
accelerate the movie rendering. Then what could help?

I was thinking about the following 2 systems:

      Amd Athlon 500
          or
      Abit Bp6 + Dual Celeron 400

I already have 30Gig of Hard Disk, 128 Meg of ram and a 4Meg S3 Video card.
I also thinking to add a Matrox G400 32M Dual Head Video card.

Best Regards
