I must beg to differ here. The Ultra2 SCSI *bus* is capable of 80 MB/sec.
No single SCSI drive on this planet can come close to saturating that bus --
some may hit that rate in bursts from an on-board cache, and several drives
in a RAID configuration may share that throughput to implement an apparent
single volume.
But, in general, the maximum capacity of the bus provides no assurance
about the sustainable throughput of any drive, even one designed to support
that bus spec.
