I just got a Viewsonic EF70 for less than 250. US. Its a 17" with a flat screen. I had bought it for a spare computer I had, and liked it so much I put it on my main computer and put my 20" on the spare.

I'm planning to get a new monitor, probably 17".
(Certainly no more than one step in size up or
down from there.)
I'd like to get a good quality monitor, but it's not for
any special purpose (e.g., hardcore cad, true-color
graphics).
In the past, I've had good luck with viewsonic --- are
they still a good choice? Other suggestions for what
I should be looking at?
I'm not looking to get the rock-bottom cheapest, but
I do want to get value for the money I spend.
Thanks for any ideas.
