Well.......This is why it is a head scratcher to me. The drives were the
original drives. I took them out to get the drive serial #s and specs.
Put them back in and they wouldn't work. Did the "Auto Detect" thing
several times.......detected but won't get past that "Invalid system disk"
message at boot up.
So I took the drives and installed them in another machine. Auto detected
just fine and worked just fine in slave mode.
So I tried a totally different drive in the old computer. Thought I could
fdisk/reformat and start again. No deal. System won't see the drive.
I'm wondering how I could figure out if the IDE card is hooped or something.
