If you are not running Norton Utilities or system works, may I suggest
the following:

Double Click on "My Computer"
Double click on "Control Panel"
Double click on "System"
Double click on "Performance"
Open   File System Properties
Open   Floppy Disk and uncheck Search for.

This way, Windows will not search for a floppy every time your system
boots.
