If I can add my 2p, if you want to be sure cut out processed foods
altogether.  Completely.  Ever.  Or at least as much as humanly possible.
Not only are they notorious for hiding ingredients, they're all full of fat,
sugar, preservatives, additives, colourants, etc.  They don't even taste
nice :-)  It really is so much easier to make from scratch and you'll know
*for sure* what went in it.  After a while, cooking from scratch ends up
just as quick anyway.
