.... but I'm hoping your guidelines (of 15 air changes per hour) will make
life better.
My 15x20x9 kitchen = 2700 cubic feet. My existing 5 year old microwave/vent
claims 235 cubic feet per minute, or 14,100 cubic feet per hour. That means
I'm getting only 5 changes per hour - and that I need something in the range
of 600-700 cfm - practically haz-mat quality, I guess.
But, so that I may better yell at my architect and contractor (to whom I said
the only two things we wanted out of the kitchen were a washer-dryer and no
cooking smells in the rest of the apartment - final cost: $62,000, but the
washer works, sort of), I still want to know: where is such a standard
written down?
