Not an educated opinion, but I suspect that a deficiency in a necessary micromineral would be more detrimental than a few stray molecules of PCB or whatever. According to one site I visited recently, arsenic is a necessary micromineral involved in the metabolism of methionine. You could have knocked me over with a feather.
