>This brings up the question of, how do you define low carb? >Is it under 20 grams a day? I know I am much lower carb than SAD, but not >under 20 grams. >Does anyone know the definition of low carb, or is there one? The Atkins 'induction' phase is under 20 g of carbs. However, when the 2 week induction is up, you slowly add carbs by 5 g increments until you stop losing weight or even gain some (a number that varies individually). That partcular point is what he calls the CCL (Critical Carb Level). I would think that low-carb means anywhere below your personal CCL. Or anywhere between where you don't lose weight but dont gain any, if you're not looking to drop weight.
