Often when booting my computer w/Win 95, I get all the way to the wallpaper
window(screen?) and it locks up. I press ctrl+alt+del which shows "MSGSRV32
not responding". I sometimes see "Spool32" also. I went to the
following location in my registry. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERS
ION\RUNSERVICES
And I found this: a square(almost) with ab in it then (Default) and (value
not set) in the first line.
The second line had the same square and BCDetect and then "C:\
WINDOWS\SYSTEM|bcdetect.exe defer

I checked the address for runservicesonce and it just had the
1 default line like the first line above. I went to this address
because of a previous post I read here about the problem. Now,
what is BCDetect.exe and/or is it causing the problem?
