Over time, I've downloaded many programs from the net. Too many! I read a review and if I like the possibilities, I'll download the program. Here now the problem. Not enough time to install and try many, if not most, and thereby forgetting which filename is associated with the name of a particular program. Oh yes, they're all in one folder named Download. Here now my question: Is there a web site where I can do a search by file name (e.g., djv100.zip) that will give the complete name a program by entering the downloaded filename? Erik Hundrieser ----------------------------------------------------------------- - If you want to get (and stay) organized at the same time, you might want to check out a piece of shareware called "Where Is It". It is an excellent file cataloging utility that, among many other things, can read many types of program descriptions (e.g., FILE_ID.DIZ, etc) from inside the compressed (zipped) files. If you want to check out its full description, it can be located at: http://www.whereisit-soft.com/ There is also a more limited freeware version ("Where Is It Lite" at the same version. The author of these programs provides excellent support and is always further improving his product. Good Luck :} Jim (been there myself) The PCSOFT web site always needs good submissions.
