Jean,

It's not a pause that you should be looking for, there is a statement in
there that requires the DosKey driver.

You have three choices.....

If you don't want to delete the files, then just rename them to *.BAK.

Or you could post the contents of the two  files here for us to view.

Or a more prolonged form of agony would be to rem each individual
statement one at a time rebooting in between each REMming until you find
the culprit.
