You may want to consider uninstalling the software for the printer and reinstalling the software again. Also, are you sharing the printer with any hardware such as a scanner? Ever since I changed the drum, two - six small hearts print on the first page and then the actual page is printed. This was sporatic at first but now has become almost consistent with every time I print. I have called Brother, After going through the usual, they concluded that it was a Windows problem.
