You can either use the Microsoft Direct Cable connection, or get a product
such as Laplink or PCAnywhere.

Direct Cable connection comes with Windows 95/98 and is free. It isn't in
my opinion as easy to use and configure as Laplink/PCAnywhere.

You can usually download a trial of either PCAnywhere www.symantec.com, or
Laplink www.laplink.com (this may not be the address).

As far as a cable, Direct Cable Connection uses a Parallel or a Null-Modem
Serial cable (obtainable at any Compusa/Circuit City/Electronics
Boutique/Staples/Office Depot/etc.)

As far as I remember PCAnywhere and Laplink both come with the cable.
