I have also been trying to overclock a Cyrix PR200 which my motherboard
(a P5V580-B with 580VPX chipset) will let me use at 2 x 75mhz or 2½ x
66mhz. The problem comes when I try to run it at 2½ x 75mhz, The system
boots OK and works in DOS mode but Windows (95) won't load. It just
freezes at the splash screen. I have tried re-installing W95 but same
problem persists.
By the way, I can't find a manual for my motherboard, which makes
changing jumper settings a real pain
Any suggestions ?

Subject: [PCBUILD] Overclocking the Cyrix CPU

hello everyone

System: Cyrix PR200 (150MHZ) ram:64MB. video:normal S3 virge card.
Motherboard:VXpro Chipset

When i change the multiplier jumper to 2.5 (the bus speed is fixed at
75MHZ) to overclock the cpu to 187MHZ the computer runs at half the
speed it reports that it has cyrix PR 90. why is this happening? how can
i overclock it then?
thank you
