        You might double-check the Properties on the Shortcuts in your StartUp
Folder, and make sure they're pointing to the correct program.
        You might, if you don't already have Norton Utilities 3, download the
Trial Version.  Norton WinDoctor fixes alot of inexplicable problems,
which Norton usually attributes to problems with ActiveX entries.  You
can download a 30-day Trial Version of Norton Utilities 3 from:

          http://shop.symantec.com/trialware

        Be sure to use a program like GetRight so you can resume the download
from where you left off if the connection's broken, it's a 38.6 Meg
download.
