One of the guys at my workplace had the same problem - sort of like cloumns of short horizontal lines towards the right hand side of the screen, getting worse as Windows were moved around. Replacing the main memory cured it, but I don't know what type he had before. In the end it didn't matter as he wanted to play games so I sold him a real graphics card. > -----Original Message----- > From: Kevin Guest (BionicBone) [SMTP:[log in to unmask]] > Sent: Sunday, September 06, 1998 11:41 AM > Subject: TXPro II Video Problems > > A friend has built a PC around a TxPro II (PcChips M571) motherboard > (onboard sound/graphics). > > He is having problems, the display becomes corrupt after "starting > windows" is displayed (sound like the driver but cannot find an > update, using Win98). > > Also could it be the memory that is not fast enough as the video > shares system memory (Using 32MB SDRam speed unknown) ? > > The video is detected as an SIS 5597/5598 by Win98 and loads driver > version 4.05.00.0905 > > Any Ideas ? > > [log in to unmask] > Kevin Guest > > > > ----- **Need help with PCBUILD mailing list?
