<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> My Dear List Mates. Thank you for all of the input. I recieved 24 comments and here is the consensous. Heinz appear to manufacture their own vinegar but there was a split opinion as to its origin. Some said that this product is manufactured with apple cider vinegar and others believed it to be corn based. One person commented that it could be either of the two. One person added that DelMonte ketchup is also Gf. The number for Heinz is 1800-268-6641 in Canada. I reside about 45 minutes West of Toronto in a town called Waterdown. In addition, other condiments many considered safe included Hellmans Mayo, Heinz mustard and relish (there is a debate about the chilli sauce), McIlheney tobasco sauce, Lee & Perrins worcestershire, French's mustard, TMari soy sauce, Heinz Vinegar, ChungKing soy sauce & Wishbone reular salad dressing. One person specifically said that Heinz Chilli Sauce ia NOT GF! Some reported that they have never encountered problems with any distilled vinegars and beleived that due to its processing that it was not a problem. With regard to the "Snackwells" potato thins, I have only investigated the flavored types and not he plain. I will do that. If you would like to verify, it takes them a few days and the number in Canada is 1800-668-2253 (Christie/Nabisco) I was asked to explain the tern "wheat carrier". Apparently the monoglycerides can carry wheat or corn products and they do not need to be specified by the maunfacturer. In this case they carry wheat. This was the term that the company used with me on the phone, I can't elaborate as I don't know any more than that. If the plain ones are GF I wll pass on the information. Good health to you all Sharon in Canada
