The company I work at is upgrading alot of systems to this chip. Will your old CPU run on the new motherboard? There should be a chart in your manual to show what will and how to set the motherboard. If it works, that will narrow it down to the CPU. If not, its probably the motherboard. Also, the AMD-266 needs 2.2 volts, not the 2.8 of an MMX. Finally, you might want to check the manufactures web site to see if there is an errata for that motherboards manual. The motherboards we are buying originally had wrong settings for this chip in its manuals. HTH, Donald Gaither
