I probably used the word "preservation" too strongly. These images are outdoors and exposed to direct sunlight, heav= y rain and wind. They probably failed completely 20 years ago and I'm tryi= ng to save what little remains of the original paint. Forgive my ignorance, but would an application of thinned shellac be applied on top of or in li= eu of a sealer coat, and do you think it would hold up under these weather conditions? (XIM 400 is a VMP naptha solvent based sealer.) Bode Morin
