It means "Laugh Out Loud."  I think it only means this one thing. You can also
write lol, and on this list I've seen an even better one: ROTFL ("Rolling On
The Floor Laughing") and I think Kirt once even sent something like this
ROTFWMFTP ("Rolling On The Floor Laughing With My Face Turning Purple") - but
of course Kirt is a unique individual. ;-))

I'm new to the web myself, so I don't know which of these are used widely and
which are just used on this list.
