this and similar errors when i come out of my screen saver:

in module USER.EXE at 0003:00005f9a.

this only started happening yesterday, so i don't know what happened. i
haven't loaded any new programs. i thought it might be a corrupt screen
saver, but it's happened with quite a few of the screen savers. it's not
just explorer that shuts down. sometimes it's netscape (communicator 4.04),
sometimes it's whatever other program happens to be open. i don't know what
other information one might need to assess the sitation, but what could be
wrong?
