Hi, Is there anything in those directories you want to keep? If so move them to a temporary directory, if not, continue. Choose Start, the Shutdown, then Restart in MS-Dos Mode. once in MS-Dos mode, do ch\directory, where "directory" is one level ABOVE the begining of the twenty-three directory chain you are trying to remove. example if you want to delete a chain starting with c:\dir1\dir2\dir3, use cd\dir1\dir2. Word of Warning, if the directory is long, you will have to use the first 6 characters follow by a ~ followed by a number. use dir/w to see what I mean. Once you are one level above it, type "deltree directory" without the quotes. In the preceding example, it would be "deltree dir3". Answer Y when it asks, and that should get rid of the file and all twenty-three directories at one time. Donald Gaither > Hi > I have made a big mistake.
