A couple of weeks ago someone was asking about eyesight improvement. I have recently had my eyes examined again, as the prescription from last August was already too strong. I am not on a raw diet, but on a Paleolithic diet with some things (e.g. a little red meat and fish) eaten raw. Along with not wearing my glasses but only occasionally for the past year and a half, my nearsightedness has improved one and a 1/4 diopter in each eye. I do not know just what part of my diet change caused this. I haven't had refined sugar in decades. I have been strictly gluten-free for eight years. I have been dairy-free for 1.5 years. And I have been Paleolithic for only nine months. This last change entailed giving up all vegetable oils, all other grains and potatoes, most beans, increasing the nuts, increasing the fruits, increasing the meats and eggs, and increasing the amount of saturated fat dramatically. I do feel not wearing my eyeglasses often to be a big part of it. I see no reason why improvement shouldn't continue. Age O.D.
