Bacterial Overgrowth: Dr. Betty Wedman is a celiac and nutritionist in St. Petersburg. She recently made a reference to the fact that six of her seven celiacs had bacterial overgrowth in the small intestines. Therefore, it would be prudent for celiacs to consider this possibility if they have symptoms such as abdominal cramps, bloating, gas, diarrhea, weight loss, and Vitamin B12 malabsorption. [This assumes that these celiacs are on a strict GF diet; otherwise these symptoms could be due to villi damage--ed.] Dietary Specialties is offering a wonderful cracker from Bi-Aglut.
