This kind of personal messages also damage the quality of the list.

Please READ the USAGE GUIDELINES, I didn't set the file up at
Maelstrom just for bureaucratic reasons. I composed it myself and has
as its aim to make communication feasible through the CHOMSKY
network.

There is a whole section devoted to
Methodology of discussions on the Chomsky network which reads:

For the benefit of the list and its members we ask that you ...

o check that you are mailing your message to the appropriate
recipient: personal messages to the person, collective
messages to the mailing list, administrative commands to
    the listserver

o use a "Subject:" line which defines the content of your
    message

o quote selectively from posts that you respond to, for the
most part, a complete quote is not necessary

o favour short messages over long messages, unless the topic
    requires a long message

o if you disagree with what someone has said, respond to the
message -- don't attack the person

Please, pay heed to what is written above, or else we will soon lose
the list. In spite of continuing subscription, about 40 a day, we are
barely 200 members, which means that 80 subscribers left the list in
the lapse of 7 days, since CHOMSKY list was launched.
