Hi Bob and Peter, >>Bob: >>Peter, last time I checked you had a perfectly marvelous food >>processor directly beneath that magnificent nose. Why not use it to >>begin processing your food? > >Peter: >Because I have tried it without much luck and do not have the patience >to wait for my slumbering instincts to wake up. Many people have >succeeded in jump-starting their instincts and overcoming their >aversion to RAF by processing it. If this dosen't work for me, I will >have to try some serious aversion therapy or join VA (Vegan >Anonymous).;-) I believe that everyone practising 100% raw nutrition (which includes a very sophisticated food supply as discussed earlier) is f o r c e d to obey his/her instincts. They become irresistible strong then. Indeed if I ever have the possibility to watch people who are eating 100% raw but steer their food intake mentally, I noticed them to be mostly unsatisfied with their nutrition. Conclusion: Peter, if your instincts currently aren't going for RAF, then RELAX! If you are forcing yourself now you will experience only what your body does if it doesn't need the food you are offering. The best case would be an immediate stop (if your RAF is instincto quality), the worst case a much too heavy detoxification, really bringing you down. If you ever want to have a lucky experience then WAIT for your body develo- ping a real need for RAF. I think nobody here on the list doubts that you are able to attack it then, so just lean back (as you plan to do with mode- ration) and see what comes. Give it a year if necessary. In the meantime Cassia would speed up your detox and perhaps (but really perhaps) the need would come earlier if you use Cassia as much as possible. Concerning parasites: >>Bob: >>Has there been any discussion here of hyperoxygenation & encouragement >>of alkaline environment in enabling the body to prevent bacteria, >>viri, parasites & cancer cells from getting out of hand? > >Peter: >Yes, some. Most authorities on parasites I have found agree that an >alkaline gastrointestinal environment causes them to proliferate and >therefore they warn against eating a too alkaline diet. I thought that our digestion produces a strong hydrochloric acid (HCl) if digesting RAF. It is often argued by vegans that humans aren't able to digest RAF as their HCl production is not as strong as that of a predator (wrong argument in my oppinion.) But I conclude from this ar- gument that indeed HCl is needed in high concentration to digest RAF. Wouldn't this supply the acidy environment needed to kill parasites con- tained in the RAF? Instinctive raw greetings, Stefan
