Hi Meredith, >To anyone who eats raw potatoes. Any difference between them? Does that >sound equivalent to a dolt asking if there's any difference between >various wines? If so, I apologize. I've had sweet potato. While I was >at Bread and Circu, the guy there told me that the white sweet potatoes >were the only ones not touched with chemicals for storage. That's why >there are so few of them in reltaionship to the Red Garnets, Yams. etc.. >So, how do you eat them? Any hints would be great. I'm not a food combining maven (but I may change). So I smother the (sweet) potatoes with raw salsa (recipe from an SF Raw Living Foods restaurant cooking class.) I find that I like to interchange between types of potatoes during a single raw-salsa-splattered meal. I eat yams for a bit till the regular potatoes seem interesting, and so on. I have reached a stage where I can stomach (even enjoy) raw sweet potatoes without the dressing, but regular potatoes without salsa masking are still completely out of the question. Roy
