I am not a reactor to non-gluten foods, but my young son is and I don't want crumbs from one side of the 4-slice getting into his side, thus the two toasters. Also a toaster oven is too timely for us when making toast for the whole family. By the way the toasters are on separate counters on opposite sides of the kitchen.
