News is out over the last 48/72 hours that the opposition parties in the homeland has submit election reform demands to authorities in Banjul. This is a good move and politically viable. The People's Movement for Democratic Gambia would like to congratulate all parties involved in this initiative. Bravo!

Since the NADD efforts we argued that the way to go is not necessarily a single candidate for elections in a flawed system but a political effort to upside down the system. We hope this is the beginning of that over due initiative. Better late than never!

We hope the parties are in it for a long haul. This is politics - submitting demands on a piece of paper is the easier part. We have to insist and persist that the demands are reckon. Success and failures are not what happened today but in the future.

In any negotiations between parties, for the other side to compromise there has to be a value. That is for Yahya to give up any grip on a system that assures his continuity we have to have political leverage he value and/or scared off.

Political leverages are build over time and the basis and opportunities already exist. Consider transforming NADD to NAD. Appropriately develop the organizational structures, rally the citizens, bring the International Community to our side and raise adequate funds. This will begin to turn the current imbalance our favor.

The People's Movement is ready to support this cause and be a foot soldier anywhere that struggle will take us. Our little resources will be open up for this efforts.

Bravo again! Go Gambia Go!!!!!!
