In natural systems, diversity can be both a source of strength or weakness depending on the scale. What is seen as chaos at fine scales can easily turn out to be all nice and smooth at broad scales.

Perhaps the proliferation of groups can be seen in the same light. Yes, they may be sore eye or even make the process a little messy in the short-term,  but in the long run they may be the thousand cuts we need to bring down this ceiling.

Guys, well stated.  I for one have always maintained that if Yahya Jammeh were to be toppled today or anytime in the future, IT WILL BE BY AN INSIDER, a member of the regular Gambia Armed Forces. These cowards are only seeking attention. I said the same about BAYO, the joker. If I could guess; most, if not all of these deceivers, are living in the Diaspora. We must never allow ourselves be fooled by these so-called boy scouts, not soldiers.

Yero, nope no headache much more a heart attack on this story... For this group of citizens I would say it was about time!  Here is an editorial we authored on this very subject several months ago and our call was for this particular group to show some backbone and join the organize struggle.

http://gainako.com/?p=2498 . Of course credit goes to those who have been in the forefront. So yes a welcome development! I will just urge for real commitment beyond the press releases and publication of ranks as customary of many Gambian organizations. I look forward to engaging them...

Thanks

You are going to give Demba Baldeh and Rene heartattack. lol

Humor aside, in as much as I believe in any means necessary and I respect the emergence of any group to fight alongside, I do have lots of questions/concerns for these groups, the most recent especially. Are they just another Bayo? Why all of a sudden? Are they military or civilian? Is their military uniform temporally in the closet? Are they going to be the military wing of all these groups around? How about their previous association with the regime...have they done anything that poses redflags? Could they have attended the Raleigh get-together to put their argument before Gambians? Why select your group leaders and impose it on us? Shouldn't they have engaged the public, choose leaders from a wide pool rather than just friends of the same feather just groping and announcing that they have formed a military wing? etc...

Suntou -is it by coincidence all these groups are emerging or do the fortune tellers of the land revealed a secret that some of us are no aware yet? I just find things very interesting nowadays. It is as if people are clearly seeing Jammeh's demise.

Suntou ---walahi, it is not going what people thing. Kanilai might be falling soon. ameen, but we must be very very careful.

Chei Gambia...
