URGENT MATTER.
IMMIADIATE ASSISTANCE NEEDED!
The Griot and music legend Tata Din Din jobarteh is critacially sick and moving only by clutches.
He cannot afford the medical financial costs. The artists are not fairly taken care of.
A Griot is a library and this we all know as the embodiment of our culture and history.
We all have to be conscious on this, sympathetic, generous and obey one of the
Commandments of God and that is charity. This fine gentleman, a flag of Gambia is slowly fading. Why do we stand aside and look, to see our prophets die prematurely and some of say it's a part of life, thinkers and artists don't matter. The motor of our life as Gambians is: Caring and Sharing. This is the Gambian way!
We need to restore his health and put him back to the front for the nation and his family. He is a community belonging and he has served his role in our society well and therefore the society should play their part. Let us uphold our values in a positive way.
"A people without culture is like a tree without roots".

The Gambian Kora emperor Tata Dindin Jobarteh has been a catalyst in the evolution and re-invention of "GAMBIAN KORA MUSIC" to more accurately offer contemporary smooth Kora sounds. Truly Tata Dindin Jobarteh has for the most part created forms sustainable for the expression of his genius.

Good question! Irresponbile remarks. Let them solve their internal party deficiency of strategic approach on operational problems facing their passionate active militanst and get head on with party administration before pointing fingers other oopposition parties. Correction Madinya is not Kombo South but Kombo North. Madinya is the extension of brufut.  Pa Kebba Koyer Manneh found Madinyana.

Here again you leave your readers wondering and guessing as to who this mighty force might be. The opposition parties in the Gambia are not that many. I see nothing wrong as far as politics is concerned in reaching out to other parties supporters, the UDP included, in an effort to convince them to support some other parties who think they need to add their numbers, as long as such is done in a way that is politically mature. Isn't that why it is called politics? Somebody help me! Who is it? GMC? PDOIS? PPP? NRP? Henry Gomez (I don't know his party name)? You should tell us who it is.

For the UDP to keep its constituency intact, some of the benchers currently hibernating need to be engaged. That is why you guys need the karambas, the Saihous, Pa Saihous, Ebrima Dibba, etc...The little fight here about Yaya Jallow the last time was a turn off.

Just between me and you, you have a legitimate concern to regroup those escaping your way. It shows the need to unite and inspire. That way of your politics I certainly like.

I am once again quite saddened by the arrest of the UDP's youth supporters and I wholeheartedly offer my respect and solidarity with the UDP on this matter, like the many of our other citizens in similar predicaments. I think the continued persecution of UDP in Gambia's criminal court is certainly a target on the party. Sooner or later, Darboe, the UDP and concerned citizens must step up and say enough with the nonsense. In as much we believe in a legal system, these courts under Jammeh will not give you justice. It is within rights to protest with any capability at your disposal.

Just like I shared about PDOIS' Halifa, Sidia and Uncle Sam taking a back seat (in the back ground) to let the younger ones in the party steer the frontline, I am suggesting the same to Darboe. In my opinion, it is time for him to pass the leadership baton to someone within the party, so he stays as an advisor with his wealth of legal knowledge within the background. Leadership in my view is not only holding the frontline. The best leader is the one that leads from behind, as demonstrated by Madiba (Gainako South Africa).

Thanks for sharing.

UDP Diaspora members are cordially invited to a conference call today as a continuation to our last night meeting. Please all be on time. Our usual phone number and code will be use ( 001 712-432-0075 code 199147#), those on skype, can enter through the usual skype entry. If you don't know, private mail me for details. UDP members are also notified that, our 14 youths members were presented to court on flimsy charges, we need to stand with them and their families. But more importantly, continue the dialogue we have been engaging in.

There are elements within even the opposition who are targeting UDP members and telling them to switch allegiances with promises of money and other benefits. This has been an ongoing attack by the ruling party, but for such targeting to be coming from partner opposition parties is alarming and this individuals are those the UDP open it's doors to in working as partners to end the dictatorships. The UDP Diaspora is aware of meetings currently organise in U.K where UDP members are invited to join certain parties, in as much as this is a legitimate political maneuvering, we are alerting our members, that, no opposition party in the Gambia has more support, base or outreach than us, hence, it is a futile exercise for certain opposition leaders to betray our closer relationships by covertly attempting to use our association with them as a means to infiltrate and then approach UDP supporters.
What is important for UDP members is continue sharing ideas, standing with leaders on the ground, from youth leaders, senior executive, women wing and regional coordinators. These people are continuing spreading the need for wider awareness on the unending madness taking place daily. As a party, we cannot but work with those we share the greater agenda with, of curbing the oppressive and suppressive political climate that is now a norm. No Gambian is immune to those state of affairs, hence, we need to act with honesty, integrity and as brothers, anything else, is a futile exercise.
Be on time guys.
